To be an effective worker, you must have adequate, reliable and up to date tools. If you are reading this article online, I can comfortably say that you already have some of the tools needed to venture into the world of day trading.
Some of the tools for successful day trading includes:-
- A quiet room
- Telephone
- A computer
- Internet access
- Brokerage account
- Market data
- Charting software
A quiet room could be your bedroom, a private library or study. Basically anywhere you will not be interrupted or distracted by activities around you should be ideal for day trading. A computer is another must have tool for your day trading activities. It could be a laptop or desktop running windows XP or better. Macs can equally do the job, just a matter of preference. Using a 19 inch LCD monitor or better is ideal. Your computer should at least have up to 512 MB of RAM and Pentium D 2.6GHz or better.
Internet access should be broad band to be able to execute trades quickly. You must have a telephone at hand and use your cell phone as your internet back up. Sign up for a reliable brokerage account. Every brokerage firm has its own interface where you can buy and sell stock and monitor the market.
However, before you sign up for a brokerage account you must do your homework first. Read the fine prints so that there will be no surprises. Find out what products they offer, whether they require a minimum deposit and if they offer free research opportunities.

Which is the best to use to begin with . And on the same note what is the pro and cons of trade king, vs scotts trade or any other FOR A BEGINNER, today we sign which will it be .
All major brokerage firms provide their clients with on-line services, including trading platforms, latest market & financial news and research.
Customer need to select the site that is best for them. Traders have requirements in a site, while investors have other requirements. I use Scottrade for trading equities, Thinkorswim for trading options and Fidelity for investments.
Although most sites are geared to general securities and commodities, however customers may have special needs for the types of products they trade, and the markets in which they trade.
It seems that the most popular firms for on-line investing all of which provide excellent platforms and services are; Scottrade; Chas.Schwab; TDAmeritrade; Fidelity; E-Trade and Thinkorswim. I personally use Scottrade for equity trading, Thinkorswim for my option trading and Fidelity for investing.
Please remember, the cheapest is not always the best.

Let Me Explain…
Picture yourself, sitting in front of your computer on a Monday morning. The stock market opens in 20 minutes and you turn on your PC.
You open your own “Stock Trading Robot” and hit the button to start scanning. 14 minutes later the robot beeps and alerts you, that it has found a potentially profitable stock trade.

Buy Stock TLLE At $0.13
You’re online brokerage account is already open and you quickly buy 10,000 shares of TLLE (investing $1300).
