Which online brokers allow me to open $100 account to start?

By admin · July 31, 2010 · Filed in Day Trading Software · 2 Comments »

I’m interested ideally (not required) in one which I can keep my checking, etc., all there to manage using my Quicken software. Moving money between accounts is ideal. If it doesnt require fees to use Quicken’s Direct Connect, so much the better.

I’m interested in learning day trading. Is TD Ameritrade the best? Can I open a 0 account to try it out?

Watch live online stock trading strategies Dec 7 Part 3

Live real time trading video from my screen. Learn from my winners and my losers with commentary. Direct access and Level 2 is better than using a broker I think. I use software filters and setups on the chart to determine what trades I enter. Use this video as a virtual coach for your day trading goals. It’s not easy, but this demo shows you that it can be done day after day for small consistent profits. No secrets, just years of wisdom to share with you all.

Where can I find a stock market simulator?

By admin · July 30, 2010 · Filed in Day Trading Software · 1 Comment »

I’m looking for a software/ web service that has the abilities to simulate the NY stock market in the past (not only opening and closing rates) for day trading simulation. It must also has an API or some kind of scripting language in order to issue automated requests during the sim.
*** The simulator must simulate the past (on a minute resolution), not the present although it can also do that.
*** The scripting/ API option is also a must.

Need software that can analyze live data from a web page?

By admin · July 29, 2010 · Filed in Day Trading Software · 1 Comment »

I need to input live data from a web page to perform instant math functions without having to input manually in Excel. I am trying to rate things by the percentage change and their ranking within the overall list, such as if the price of sugar went down compared to cotton; or if certain of the components of the Dow Jones Industrial are going in the opposite direction from the majority, and if so, which are going against the tide and which has the largest percent stock price increase/decrease; or alternately, which stock is up the most in a particular list of ten, and where is it ranked now as opposed to when trading started for the day (did it move to #1 most advanced or is it still at number 3 and just moving the same as all the rest, etc.). This is not really about Stocks, but I merely used that as an example (as I need to keep the nature of the business confidential); I could have used the rate of temperature change in large cities as the example. Thanks.

By admin · July 27, 2010 · Filed in Day Trading Software · 1 Comment »

I know this has been asked a few times, but I still can’t find an answer. I just need a basic stock ticker app that I can slap on my desktop during the day, but it needs to work for mac. I have an E*TRADE account but I don’t think they offer, however please correct my if they do. I hear sink or swim offers great free software but it requires signing up and I really want to avoid that.

Thanks!
