Re-asked with more details — Is there a way to buy and sell a stock automatically over and over again?

By admin · September 5, 2010 · Filed in Automated Stock Trading

With no user intervention? To be more specific I want to sell 100 shares of stock at 0 and the buy the stock when it reaches then sell it again at 0 all automatically

I have been trading stocks on ameritrade for ~8 years now, both long and short as a day trader. I know the risks and rewards.

I use quote tracker as a third party program. I am looking for a program that will place my orders to buy and sell on the fluctuations of a stock. I want it to be independent of the brokerage houses. All it needs to do is check if a stock sold (crossed a high sell point) and if it has, put in a order to buy the same stock again at a lower predetermined price. Over and over.

I understand the risks and rewards. Example – I sit here all day buying at .03 cents a share, and selling at .0325 cents a share. Then buying again at .03 a share. (vary risky but that’s my choice). Over and over, while I go play with my telescopes.
)

It can be done because Quote tracker can get the informaion from ameritrade, both filled orders and can place a order. I just want to automate the proccess.
So Thor what part of understand the risks don’t you understand? I never once asked if this was a good idea, just if there was a program out there that did it.

It was a bad idea the first time you asked the question as it is now.

You have an assumption the stock will just go up and down within a small range. That is a huge assumption. And fees will eat up your gains, if you have any.

Google it for automatic cyclic day treading software or something like that. I am sure other people has similar need.
